“A shimmering Kraut-rail trip to Asgard.” - MOJO
“...their debut is littered with moments of wit and invention.” - Clash
“Through reverb-drenched guitars and widescreen melodies, they recall the shoegaze greats…” - DIY
“ that painlessly burrows deep into your cranium and refuses to leave.” - The Line Of Best Fit

Pale Blue Eyes’ excelsior modernist pop music comes from both Devon and Sheffield. Sweeping synth lines and metronomic guitar riffs give the band a transportive, mind-shifting mood and despite post punk-cum-shoegaze branding, their sound brims with a kind of elective positivity - with a distinct ability to burrow inside your brain.

Listen / watch.

The band are rooted in the DIY communities around pastoral Totnes, where their self-built studio in Penquit Mill lies.

Following the release of their stunning debut album last year, they’re set to take their shimmering Kraut-pop around the UK and serve up new cut ‘More’, which is about being around someone who elevates you and supports your mad plans, as they explain:

“This song is about the realisation you don’t really have any control over what life throws at you, but you can control how you respond to it. You can only embrace it and try to keep your shit together. The thing we could focus on was our studio and making music. We were inspired by the setting where we were recording – the birds outside our window, going for a trudge up and down the hilly lanes around the studio to clear our heads. We hoped to build those moments of simple bliss and escape into the music.”

They’re heading around the UK in February, whilst also announcing news of a headline show at Village Underground in November. Info here
