The brainchild of former Tunng & The Accidental member Sam Genders, Diagrams came from virtual obscurity to play one of the most inspiring sets of this year’s End Of The Road festival, alongside releasing their critically acclaimed self-titled EP.

The remainder of 2011 saw the band’s first London headline show, before all eyes and attention were firmly focused upon 2012 and the release of the debut full-length record ‘Black Light’, which includes the singles ‘Tall Buildings’ and ‘Ghost Lit’.

Sam Genders named his new song “Phantom Power” . The tune, from Diagrams’ upcoming album Chromatics, is lush, infectious chamber pop replete with a whimsical whistling hook. But there’s a slight noisy element to it too, as if somebody tore the ROOF off the chamber and it’s exposed to whipping wind and debris. Genders describes his sound as “crisp, minimalist pop,” but there’s a lot going on here.
