The Leisure Society formed from the coming together of two gents from Burton-Upon-Trent - Nick Hemming and Christian Hardy.  After to-ing and fro-ing with previous bands, the two found themselves as part of Brighton's Willkommen Collective - a loose collection of Brighton based musicians, promoters and artists - and set about forming a solid nucleus for The Leisure Society that we know today.

After being nominated for an Ivor Novello award for the track 'The Last Of The Melting Snow', The Leisure Society and Full Time Hobby became a happy marriage of like minds, and we set about releasing an expanded version of debut album 'The Sleeper' in 2009, and we await album number two further down the line in 2010.
