Well what is there to say about Malcy?  We signed him fresh from the split of Arab Strap, and embraced him into the fold as the new solo artist he'd become.  His distinctive vocal style (hands up anyone who couldn't tell Malcolm is Scottish?) and downbeat lyrics have seen him win fans amongst those of us who know life isn't always sunshine and roses.  And to top it all off, who can forget 2007's audacious and rather cheeky bid to hit the Christmas #1 spot with the ever so festive 'We're All Going To Die'?  Malcolm's two following releases, the mini-album 'Sleight Of Heart' and last year's 'Waxing Gibbous', cemented his position as one of Britain's most strikingly individual solo artists, and as 2010 progresses, it remains to be seen what Mr Middleton has up his sleeve for us next.
